A recent survey on ActiveRain a community of real estate professionals resulted in the top six mistakes sellers make when trying to sell their home. Most of these are things you can do something about and avoid problems later. Obviously pricing is the biggest mistake, buyers are seeing every home on the market and they have a very good idea of the market value of any home they see. They will just pass on a home that is overpriced. Showing availability is ther second biggest mistake sellers make. PLEASE make it easy for buyers to see your home. A few years ago, I remember an advertising campaign which went along the lines of a consumer asking someone if they can install floors, or carpet, fix a leak or their car etc. The answer was always the same, "No, but I know a man who can."
