Birds In The Snow In Delaware County PA Earlier this week Delaware County PA had two days of snow and both times the birds were easier to spot with the white snow as a backdrop.  Since food becomes harder to find in snow, bird feeders often become a crowded place with many bird sightings. The photo in the upper left has a bunch of house sparrows eating in a group, to the right is a tufted titmouse about to fly away, a junco in the lower left checking things out and a male downy woodpecker with the red spot on his head in the lower right photo getting positioned to eat some suet. 12/12/2013
