Are you looking forward to putting your boat in the water soon?  We are!  Summer can not come fast enough and Oswego Lake is beckoning!  Let us know if you are interested in moving to Lake Oswego or want to learn more about this Portland suburb.  Today’s weather isn’t typical, and was interesting, but mos...

Oswego Lake is a beautiful and peaceful place at night with only a few other souls out enjoying the calm. Should be the calm before the Labor Day weekend activity.  The weather in Lake Oswego this weekend is set to be boating perfect and ready for lots of last hurrah summer fun before school starts on Tuesday. Lake Oswego living is closely knit to the lake itself and no wonder why.  Oregon is full of natural beauty, but this is my favorite place in the state.  If you are interested in Lake Oswego living, then let me know if you need help looking at different neighborhoods, etc.  If the lake is important to you like it is to me, then you need to find a home that is either on the water or in one of the easements.  Oswego Lake is a private lake.  It is not open to the public.  Not all home...

Lots of activity this summer in Village On The Lake This Summer For SOLD homes in this Lake Oswego, Oregon neighborhood: In addition to two recent off market Lake Oswego home sales in the neighborhood, one active Village On The Lake home for sale, and one pending which wasn’t on the market long at all, there was a great sale in the last month for anyone watching the Village On The Lake neighborhood real estate market: 15567 Village Drive was listed for $1,295,000 and sold after 12 days for $1,250,000.  It is a four bedroom, but has enough rooms to function as a five or six bedroom house. Best of all, though, it has Oswego Lake easement access to the lake.  In fact, Village On The Lake has one of the best if not the best easements on the lake with a private gated members only marina.  T...

Note from Eric Newman ... With all the information available online, it still amazes me how many homeowners and home buyers are confused in the mortgage process.  Below is a list of some of the most common asked questions or comments I receive.  Hope this can help you or your clients!   Contributions by Eric Newman (NWMG) and Alison Paoli (Zillow)Mortgages are tricky and often hard to understand. Because most people only purchase a home every five to seven years, prospective homebuyers understandably don't spend a lot of time in the interim educating themselves about mortgages and the mortgage process. With the real estate market picking up and mortgage rates prime for refinancing, Zillow has compiled a list of common mortgage misconceptions based off the results of the 2013 Mortgage I...

Homes for Sale in Lake Oswego Market Report May 2013 Breaking Lake Oswego Real Estate News: "PMAR [Portland Metro Area Realtors®] successfully defeated adoption of proposed modifications to the City of Lake Oswego municipal code requiring permits for use of a temporary For Sale sign on residential rental properties. As originally submitted for City Council's consideration, additional language would have required citizens to purchase a permit in order to be allowed to place a For Sale sign on their private property that happens to be multi-family (i.e. duplex, triplex, etc.). At its June 4th meeting, City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance that included PMAR's recommendation to continue to exempt such properties from a sign permit requirement when the entire property is for sale." ...
