When I lived in Minneapolis, what many refer to as the Twin Cities nowadays, we always knew there was another town on the other side of the Mississippi River, which divided the two cities, but when you're from Minneapolis, you don't really think much about it. Unless you're from Saint Paul, and then you agonize over what people in Minneapolis think of you. Ha, ha. Little joke there meant to inflame those from St. Paul.Actually, I think the joke goes: if you say you're a painter, you are an artist if you live in Minneapolis. A house painter if you live in St. Paul.It makes me wonder what kind of rivalry exists between those who live on one side of the Columbia River, which is Washington, versus a whole 'notehr state on the other side, which is Oregon.
