Looking for a dentist in Gresham? Look no further than Jeremy Archibald DDS! This last week was a little tough for me as I needed some dental work and the dentist I used to use moved to a new city and I was unable to use him. But, lucky for me, I knew Jeremy Archibald DDS and his wife Stephanie and their wonderful family. I gave Dr. Archibald a call and the next morning I had an appointment and it was well worth the call. When I got to the office, I was greeted by his wonderful staff and quickly was given some paperwork to fill out and even with that, I was in and out of the office in less than 45 minutes. Now, one thing I loved about Dr. Archibald’s office was when they do an X-ray it was quick, no long painful shot and then a 10 minute wait for it to develop. Dr. Archibald’s office ha...

There is a lot of disparaging information out there right now about loan modification companies. You should always ask these consultants three questions: 1. How many loans have they successfully modified? 2. What is their success rate/percent? 3. Will they provide the borrower with three references of local homeowners they have helped in the past three months? At the Home Mediation Center, we can answer all three questions, and any others you might have. To meet with us is free, as we are committed to helping home owners keep their homes. Know your options....

Here are some ideas of what you can do if you are in the situation of loosing your home to foreclosure 1. Refinance (not likely, but you still need to look at it) 2. Short Sale ( I have real estate agents that I trust and can help) 3. Bankruptcy (extreme, but may be the best option) 4. Restructure Loan (One of the best and first things to look at) 5. Do nothing (about 23% of foreclosures this last year were strategic moves away from bad loans) My office has the experience and integrity to point you in the right direction. No sales pitch, I promise, just honest advice from mortgage professionals Call my office today, don't wait for the bank to tell you to move out...there is hope and Yes we Can help you! Did you know that only 9% of homeowners are granted modification? Did you know that average time on hold with your lender is over 30 minutes long? Did you know that that all your financial information is sent in over 3 times before it is even reviewed? Unfortunately, this is just the beginning...... I figured out that I sit on hold an average of 5 hours per file, and that I send in over 50 pages via fax on each file. Not to mention, that it's not uncommon to get completely different answers from the lender. For example, I have been told that a file was in final review, only to call back the next day and be told it was cancelled a week ago. Frustrating is putting it mildly. The facts are: modifying your loan takes perseverance above anything, time, intricate knowledge of your financial ...

In the much touted book, Freakanomics, by Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt, the authors make the case that there are similarities between the way the KKK operates and the way we Real Estate Agents operate. I don't know about you but I take umbrage at this. All remarks about nitwit media people and out of touch wonky econ professors aside, I'd like to discuss the authors remarks about Realtors. First of all, I agree with the authors' opinions regarding the KKK. I also, agree with the historical perspective of the KKK presented in the book. Suffice it to say that the KKK is a loathsome black mark on our culture and our history. In my opinion, the KKK is basically a racially charged, small minded, fearful group of men and women caught up in a ponzi scheme perpetuated by and for the benefit...

I love Activerain and yesterday was just another reason to love it even more. I have a house listed that has some amazing history behind it and one of the things that was found during the remodel was some love letters written during World War II.The Schiller Station home was an amazing home that was a stop along the Portland to Estacada rail line and the Schiller family built this home along the rail line in 1912 where they raised their five kids. In 1951, after all the kids had moved out, and even though some of the kids still lived in the neighborhood, they sold part of their farmland, along with the Schiller Station home, to a family with six kids. Now, let's fast forward to 2008 where my client and builder brought this home back to life and now put it up for sale after four long year...

Argentina, Chile and Australia are good values since their governments are subsidizing their wine exports. Spain is doing it as well. Because of this many producers are a good value. Jadot is a huge negociant and their wines span all of Burgundy but are not necessarily considered the best producers of these areas (but still very good). Banfi is also huge and their wines can vary in price - Banfi was the winery that cloned the Brunello varietal in the late 1800s (thus creating Brunello Di Montalcino) - for good value look for Italian wines out of Umbria and Marches areas. Chateau St. Michelle of Washington is also good -they are the oldest winery in the state. Good value wines of all types are coming out of Lodi and Potter Valley (east of the Sonoma/Napa areas) under various producer nam...
