My kids love parks as do most kids and Clackamas parks are a great place to take your family if you are looking for a day of fun. Max Patterson Memorial Park is located in the city of Gladstone in Clackamas County. Now, this park was one that my kids were really enjoying and have already said they want to come back this summer as it has a water area. (Nice when it is hot out) But, it also has a merry-go-round which is my kids’ absolute favorite thing to find at a park. So, if you are looking for a fun place to take the kids, check out Max Patterson Memorial City Park in Gladstone. If you are looking to buy a home in Gladstone or Clackamas County, then contact Todd Clark and the Friendly Home Team and we make buying a home hopefully as much fun as going to the park will be for your kids.

Gladstone Real Estate: Parks make a community! What makes me say that? One thing I love about Oregon and Gladstone is no exception is that we have lots of parks though out the community. When you go to these parks with your family it truly is a bonding experience. You see when you walk, play or even have a picnic in these parks with your family you are together, you get a chance to talk and get to know what is going on in each other’s lives without the distraction of TV, games or computers. Chief Charles Ames Memorial Park in Gladstone is one of those examples of great parks in Gladstone, Oregon. When you walk through this park you get great views, a nice walk and get to see some great historic Clackamas County Homes. This park looks small at first, when you park, but this park actually...

Clackamas County Real Estate History: What was once first is now lost to time. The picture below is a picture of a long abandoned railroad bridge, but what is significant about the bridge is that it was a race to finish it. Back in the early days of the railroad there were two competing railroads and unlike today’s government where they pay people to create things like this, our government did something that was genius! They took the two railroads and pitted them against each other. One wanted to build a track on the Eastside of the Willamette River and the other who wanted it on the Westside. The deal was the first one to finish the tracks would get to build and complete the line to the south which would mean big money for the railroads, but also the businesses to the area. The Eastsid...

(Synergy Staging ~ specializing in vacant home staging)
Our Portland Home Staging Company was recently contacted by an investor who had a home that had been sitting on the market for a few months that was vacant.  They had never tried home staging before, but needed to get the house sold.  They had done a beautiful job renovating the home, but were unable to get the interest that they were hoping for. The living room, dining room, and family room were particularly small which made it hard for potential buyers to understand how they could lay out the rooms.  With the staging in place, buyers could visualize living in the home and they were able to connect with home. Within 3 weeks an offer was accepted and the house is currently in escrow.  Just another success story that shows staging is indeed one of the most beneficial investments, especia...

The median list price in GLADSTONE,OR this week is $254,900. The 39 properties have been on the marketfor an average of 146 days. Inventory has been lightening lately and the Market Action Index has been trending up. Though days-on-market is increasing, these are mildly positive indications for the market. Home sales have been exceeding new inventory for several weeks. Since this is a Buyer's market pricesare not yet moving higher as excess inventory is consumed. However, the as supply and demand trendscontinue, the market moves into the Seller's zone, and we are likely to see upward pressure on pricing. Prices continue their climb again this week. We're a long way from the market's price high-point so watch the Market Action Index as an indicator of how long this trend will last.   Inv...
