One of the reasons for moving back to the country was the lifestyle we discovered at Flint Ridge.  The community is located in Ozark foothills of northeast Oklahoma.  The gated community was developed in the 1970's as a get-away destination for people living in the surrounding larger towns.  However, over the past few years, more and more people have opted to make the sacrifices of convenience to move back to a more simple and relaxed lifestyle.Flint Ridge is a gated 7,000 acre communty with rugged terrain, just in the edge of the Ozark foothills.  There are some amenities, such as a 9 hole golf course, restaurant, club houses, swimming pools and other recreational activities.  However, what really attracted us to the area was the unspoiled beauty and peace and quiet.The community of Fl... 10/26/2007
