Big Bugs...  is at Inniswoods Metro Gardens through October 14, 2007. The bugs are the work of artist David Rogers. Inniswood Metro Gardens is part of the Metroparks.  There's a slideshow with some of the other bug sculptures and lots of flowers on my other blog, ColumbusBestBlog.com.  There are not photos of all Rogers'  bugs there you need to go see them yourselves at Innsiwood Metro Gardens, the photos don't do the sculptures or the flowers justice.  Above is one of three large ants.  There's ladybugs (which are not bugs and aren't all ladies either... 'Big Bugs' is educational even if you are older) a great spider, an assasin bug, a butterfly, an 11' grass hopper, a dragon fly.... and more.   Sunday's Commit To Be Fit Walk is at Inniswood Metro Gardens  kill two birds with one stone...

Not Nirvana as in not paradise. I guess Nirvana is a state not a place. Nirvana is happiness, peace, lots of great things. It's a Budhist concept. It's way over my head. Nirvana was also the name of a rock group. Grunge rock The Nirvana song from the early 90's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" went through my brain at church in Westerville Ohio Sunday morning.  Some of the lyrics to the song are: "Load up on gunsBring your friendsIts fun to loseAnd to pretendShes overboardMyself assuredI know I knowA dirty word" I'm too old to have songs like that running through my brain. For the 34th time the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce pulled it off.  A wonderful weekend of Art, Music and Food.  Here's to the beautiful weather and the winds which helped make the temperatures pleasant.I must admit I was sad when the event moved from Otterbein College.  I enjoyed the quaintness of the campus and the abundance of shade.  I will admit, however I am a convert.  This was the seventh year at Heritage Park.  Clearly this venue was meant to host this event.  The winding paths offer the perfect setup for the numerous vendors.  The Everal Barn offers a prime setting for a fantastic line up of entertainment, and the location provides for easier access and more parking.  I do miss the shade, however.The setting is great for families and if you are an area resident you are ...

Westerville Ohio   a Columbus, Ohio suburb is described in a  Real Living story video:   "Westerville has many historical homes and an abundance of specialty shops and other attractions." And if that is not enough video watching the Westerville website has more:   "We encourage you to check out one or all of our four city videos in the "Discover Westerville" section to see our community in living color."  To me the biggest differences between Westerville and Columbus other suburbs are: 1.
