The history of Cheviot began in 1814, when a Scottish immigrant named John Craig purchased a half section of 320 acres in Green Twp from Elias Boudinot. Mr Craig built a inn and tavern in 1818, on Harrison Pike and the community began to grow. Today the city describes itself as having big city spirit with small town charm and offers its residents a well established business district. For the potential homebuyer, there is a wide selection of homes with individual charm and pride of ownership to choose from in the area.
