The  Dutchess County Fairgrounds is the venue for The 2012 Hudson Valley Food and Wine Festival in Rhinebeck NY   This year the event is being held on  September 8th and 9th.   The event will start on Saturday at 11am and run until  6PM and on Sunday 11am to 5PM.  Tickets can be purchased on-line.  The cost for 1 day is $35 and $65 for both days. There will be much to see and do, you could observe cooking demonstrations, and sharpen your knowlege of wines,  There will be wine here from many regions of NY States as well as wines from other areas. What a great weekend to visit Rhinebeck NY, home to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds where the Dutchess County Fair is in full swing.  The weather so far has been perfect; what a difference a year make, last year the weekend part of the fair was cancelled due to hurricane Irene.  A hurricane that cause much damage in many communities, some areas still have not yet fully recovered. The Dutchess County Fair is also a reminder that the summer is ending, children will be heading back to school and soon outdoor activities will be limited, so enjoy the outdoors while you can.
