Lilies comes in a variety of colors and types.  This a great species to add to your garden, and one that keeps giving year after year.Since  deer seem to love this plant,  I had to take steps to protect them so I would have the opportunity to appreciate the blooms.Go ahead and add several colors to your garden,  I  have orange, yellow and rose colors.What is your favorite lily colors?Imagine how welcoming your property for sale would be with some of the lily colors. 07/03/2015

This year I was pleased with the Forsythia bushes.  There were times in the last week when the sun hit these flowers  it was as if the entire hedge was on fire.Just below the Forsythia you will find the Pulmonaria which is more like a grown cover  offering blue and pink flowers.Have a great week and take time to enjoy the Spring colors.   05/03/2015

Red Hook population according to data from Dutchess County is just over 13,000, this include the village. There are many small neighborhoods in this small town north  of New York City. The Echo Valley subdivision consist of homes built mostly in the 1990's, although there is a farmhouse from the 1800's. Red Hook NY 2014 home sales exceeded  2013   Although the year got off to a slow start in the Hudson Valley, the Red Hook NY real estate market bounced back. The crops have been harvested and the fields will lay bare until the next growing season.  The snow clad Catskill Mountains and even the sky gives every indication that winter is just around the corner.   Red Hook Snowstorm This was the first snowstorm of the season in Red Hook.  Snow came down all day, and the trees were covered with heavy snow, most of them bending over due to the weight.  Although I was concern about the trees I had to admit the snow covered trees looked like a winter wonderland and was truly beautiful. I knew it would be a matter of time before the electricity would go out.  Some  people did not have their power back for an entire day. Walking around my property I was not happy with what I saw, broken branches, and trees down.  The dogwood trees sustained a lot of damage, and  the forsythia  was in full bloom which meant no spring flowers. The first snowstorm left its mark in Red  Hook but it was not as bad as in Buffalo.  No matter now terrible things might seem ... 11/28/2014
