Yes you need one, not just residents of Wappingers Falls but all residents should have one.  The days of drinking from a stream are over and you just can not tell from looking at or smelling the water.  The tests can be expense but a smart Realtor will assist you in building that cost into the cost or pricing of your home.  Smith Labs in Hyde Park is a very reputable company and has very reasonable turnaround times.  Testing your water in advance will assist you in heading off any issues with a buyer.  if you have a problem you can fix it before the listing begins.  If you do not have the money than be upfront will all prospective buyers.  Not telling the truth about water will instantly kill a deal. Home InspectionsI recommend them to all of my buyers some buyers get stronger recommend... 12/11/2007

This weekend we decided to hop on a train from Poughkeepsie and visit the Big Apple for the day. As always, NY City was spectacular at Christmas time and we especially appreciated the unseasonably warm day. I enjoyed the window displays at Macy's on 34th Street, and Saks in Mid-Town. Little Italy was especially festive and also very deliciouso! At the end of the day, we took in a peaceful and quiet moment inside St. Patrick's cathedral - what a beautiful manger scene. But I have to say, the tree in Rockefeller Center this year is by far the best one I have seen! ....Proximity to NY City is certainly a great reason to consider a move to Dutchess County, NY!                                                                 12/10/2007

The Mid Hudson Childrens Museum is located at 75 North Water Street in Poughkeepsie, New York. The Museum offers parents and children a place where they can relax, play and learn in a safe and friendly environment.  The museum has many exibits. A water table that explains the tides in the Hudson, a bubble machine (my personal favorite), a dive bell and a Radio Booth where they can spin tunes for the museum.The upstairs is for children from 4 to 11  and the downstairs is for the younger children.
