Take a Dip in Roosevelt Island's Wild Rainbow-Painted Pool

New York City is hosting a lot of really great public art installations this summer, but the most awesome one yet is on Roosevelt Island. The pool of the apartment complexManhattan Park has been transformed into a candy-colored rainbow treat. Artist HOT TEA painted the pool deck with a giant mural, turning the outdoor space into a neon explosion. The "pop up pool club" is the brainchild of Citi Habitats New Developments and designers K&Co(founded by Krista Ninivaggi, formerly of SHoP Architects) and Pliskin Architecture (founded by Barak Pliskin, formerly of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill). There are new lounge chairs, hammocks, and umbrellas, and honestly, it looks like the most amazing place to spend the summer.
