I had never thought of my past clients in terms of a scale or tape measure, and even if I had, would never be able to "graph" their success rate?  Taking it a step further while thinking about it later, would it have meant my success in inspiring them to actually make the suggested changes?  Or being able to give them other perspectives so they can start to look at their lives and situations differently and begin to change into a different way of thinking?  I make it a point to keep up with my clients but some will not contact me after a consultation.  I later find out they did not make the changes or had taken advice on what to do to change the Energy. I wondered if Success is only measured not in HOW the ...

I am not sure about you but I have always be fascinated by the New York Marathon. As a little girl, I watched the marathon on tv. I always thought to myself "Why do these people run?" "How could they possibly run for that long of a period of time?" I admire these runners. I was never a runner. Yes, I ran as a kid playing sports but I never imagined myself running a marathon -- the thought actually scared me.  One day, as I was creating a bucket list of things I never imagined doing, I put down a 1/2 Marathon and a full Marathon in my lifetime. Well, March 18, 2012, I completed my first 1/2 Marathon in NYC. I must say, this was the most amazing experience and memory of my lifetime so far. As I trained for this race and ran that day the answers to my questions as a little girl were answer...

Inspecting the plumbing system is one of the most important part of a home inspection. Incorrect plumbing can not only result in leaks and mold growth behind walls and floors, it can also result in harmful gases entering into the living space. Except for a toilet, every fixture should be provided with a trap. There are several different types of traps, but the correct type in residential dwellings is key in keeping out harmful sewer gases.                                                                        Types of Traps & Uses In order to prevent sewer gases from entering the house, drains are protected by traps. A trap is a curved section of a drain pipe that fills with water, the water in the trap is the seal that keeps out sewer gases. Sufficient trap depth of, 2 inch min, but no...

How Feng Shui Changed My Life: How 3 hours with an Expert gave me everything I wanted "Nothing was really wrong in my life, yet nothing was quite right. All kinds of exciting professional opportunities kept knocking on my door but then would fall apart for various reasons out of my control. Money was getting tight, but I was getting by. I kept going out with really great guys, but not one of them was quite right for the long term. My kids were thriving, but it seemed as if we were disconnected in ways I couldn’t identify." Cracks in exterior and foundation walls can be a huge and costly problem. They can be a result of any number of conditions, such as on going settlement, soil conditions, undersized footings, added weight and the list goes on and on. Whatever the reason, foundation cracks can be a fortune to repair. At a home inspection done not too long ago, several serious cracks were found in the foundation walls as well as the interior walls, and the basement showed more problems. The picture above shows a clean crack, indicating that it recently occurred. At times cracks like this gets wider towards the bottom of the wall. It's important when foundation cracks are found on the exterior, that the opposite side is inspected to determine how serious it is. If you notice the picture below it's serious. ...

One of the Secrets behind the Science to Feng Shui Manifestation It's important to remember Feng Shui starts with the thoughts you send out to the universe followed by the actions you take to nurture those thoughts.  The placing of objects, artwork, and arrangement of furniture at home is to help remind you of those thoughts and new found goals. They also help to keep you connected with your newly enhanced personal energy.  Those items are mirroring your goals and self.   Placing those objects in specific areas of your home can help maintain the energy in a positive direction because your mind has already agreed to shift the energy thus creating a physical agreement with self to change and open up to new ideas in various areas of your life. It's important to really take your time when m...

It is a safe bet that no one has ever loved working anywhere so much so that they got the company logo tattooed on themselves. While there is no way to definitively prove it, it's a safe bet that no one in New York real estate has one either. That is, unless you work for Rapid Realty. There are currently over 40 agents with Rapid Realty tattoos. There have been numerous articles about the Rapid tattoo phenomenon. What most don't know is that it all started with one agent in 2011... Adam Altman, an agent from Rapid Realty's Bushwick office, has been documenting his life in tattoos for some time. It was a natural progression, given his success and happiness with the company, that he chronicle this stage of his life as well. That need ended with a "double R" tattoo near his elbow. Since th...

Rapid Realty first opened, officially, in 1998. We started in an unassuming first floor location, with only one computer. It may not have looked like much, but it didn’t stop the agents and I from bringing in deal after deal. In order to grow Rapid Realty, I often put my neck on the line. In order to keep Rapid growing strong, I had to put in over $400K of advertising. This of course being before online advertising became as widespread as it is today.  I even renovated my first  property to house and hold the growing number of Rapid agents. When I was just days away from signing leases for several new company-owned offices, though, I bumped into an old friend, who raved about the virtues of franchising. I was skeptical at first, after all, I started Rapid Realty and had  planned on keep...
