Prospect Park, with over 8 million users a year, has always been a big selling point for buyers and sellers of Brooklyn real estate. That even more true now that Mort Zuckerman, the publisher of the NY Daily News is underwriting a beautiful installation of lights at four of the Park's maikn entrances. The largest of these, Grand Army Plaza, was the site of the "turning on the switch" festivities the other night. Even Mayor Bloomberg was there, although our usually ubiquitos Borough President, Marty Markowitz, was elsewhere. See the full story here The arch, which looks like the Arc de Triomphe to me, wws festooned with lights and a christmas tree light installation sits inside. Furth down the plaza, there is a fountain featuring a statue of Neptune, in which light "waves" were created.
