Brooklyn Q4 2016 Report Williamsburg Bridge   The 4th Qtr. 2016 saw continued 2016 trends of record sale prices achieved and challenged inventory levels – less availability at the lower end of the market and increased inventory at the high end. Contracts signed this quarter were almost level with the previous quarter, but market-wide closed sales and contracts signed were lower this quarter than a year ago. Closed sales, which reached an all-time high in the fourth quarter of 2015, declined 26% in the fourth quarter of 2016. Contracts signed were 1% less than 3rd Qtr. 2016 and 12% below a year ago. Inventory played a role in the softening of sales this quarter.   Despite a 13% market-wide overall increase in inventory to 2,267 units, the persistent lack of inventory at the lower end of...

Upon entering the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, along the wall you saw a quote by John Tucker Battle. "The greatest wealth a man may acquire is the wisdom that he gains from living. and sometimes out of small beginnings, come the forces that shape a whole life." We are always so caught up with how much money we can make, we forget how wealthy we all really are. Learn to become present and have gratitude with your days here on earth, and you can become some of the most wealthiest people in the world.

After completing a Feng Shui Consultation in Brooklyn Heights, NY I walked over to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. I have to say I was in awe. Its not everyday I get to see an backdrop of New York City when playing basketball. Besides that, the park also offers roller hockey rink, kayaking, the Greenway for walking, running and bike riding. During the warmer seasons, you can also enjoy free concerts, dancing and more! Parking can be a bit tricky. If you are lucky you can park along the side streets, otherwise they have metered parking near the park. When you visit, be sure to walk or ride over the Brooklyn Bridge. Feng Shui is a practice that encourages flexibility. A client of mine in Brooklyn New York showed me a room within her apartment that was not being fully utilized. Her intention was to transform that room into a "minimalist meditation space."Before and After photos At first glance a you may say this room didn't change. But, before you jump to judgment, let me point out the subtle feng shui suggestions.  1. The pillow seating was brought together to acknowledge the life section of partnership (addressing items in pairs). 2. The accent color of pink though the use of candles was brought into the space to acknowledge the life section of partnership as well and invite warmth into the space.  3. The left wall in both photos connect to the life section of "fame." Based on her layout, the wall...

This is the first year the New York Islander's are playing at their new home, The Barclay's Center in Brooklyn NY. I attended a game a two days ago and I have to say it was pretty exciting. Win or lose, it's always a great opportunity to see a live hockey game. I'd say out of all the sports I have attended so far, Hockey seems to be the most active with constant play. Let's see if the new arena can inspire new enthusiasm for the Long Island native NY hockey team. New York Islander's Website
