Exploring Bronx NY: Orchard Beach Kayaking with Miss Feng Shui The Bronx is not all about Baseball, there is so much to explore you just need a little guidance as to where one could look.  To celebrate Memorial Day I traveled out to Orchard Beach located in Bronx NY.  From long island is about 45 minutes away with no traffic.  This was such a nice treat to cruise around in our Kayaks Island hopping and exploring the sandy beaches filled with beautiful sea glass and shells. The landscape of 'Pi" Island was amazing with the rock formation and erosion.  It truly felt like we escaped to some tropical island for the day and left all worries and concern back in the parking lot. Exploring New York: Yankee Stadium with Feng Shui Manhattan   It is official, New York Baseball season has begun! This year I had the opportunity to check out the New (to me) Yankee stadium.  I have to say, approaching it was pretty intense due to the size and stature of the building but the original stadium seemed much more homier and welcoming.  I do miss it, even though at heart I am a Mets fan ;) Yankee Stadium did a really great job acknowledging past historical players. Great news for buyers and sellers in the Bronx. Short sales are getting approved and closing much faster. I am one of the few agents who have been doing short sales for over 10 years. It was not till recently that I noticed that the banks are approving the short sales on the homes in The Bronx much faster than before.  Another great thing for home owners that can help with making this difficult transition a little bit better is the, Seller Short Sale Incentive. Most of the banks now offer seller moving incentives, which can be anywhere from $5000 - $30,000 at successful completion of the Short Sale.   Housing Recovery Debate Lingers Heading into 2013 By Evan Nemeroff The housing industry has experienced a rollercoaster ride in 2012 as foreclosures and residential delinquencies are falling, but inventory is still not being released by the banks into the market. So the big question still looms among industry insiders—are we really in a housing recovery right now?
