It is always nice to get out of Vegas once in a while and one spot I like to go for a day trip or the weekend is up to Mount Charleston, about 45 minutes from Las Vegas.   It is a great place to visit any time of the year.  Let's hope the approx 1,000 firefighters up there can contain the fire and our hearts go out to the people that have had to evacuate the mountain.   My most recent trip was about 11 days ago, and this was before the massive fire that is up there now. It was about 115 degrees in Vegas and as went up the mountain the temperature dropped 57 degrees as a bit of rain hit the area up there and really cooled it down for a while.     Here are a few pictures from my recent trip up the mountain.       You can even get a Mai Tai with your lunch and enjoy the view. Last week was 'one of those weeks'....it seemed like not much could go right.  It was topped off on Friday with a 'heavy discussion' with one of my good friends and my top previous client.  I love this person dearly...it was not an argument but was a heated talk and we never did come to a meeting of the minds on it (although I let her go away thinking she was right).  It's ok to think differently but she doesn't/didn't think that way on this topic. Anyway...Friday night we had the opportunity to go out with friends for dinner and then onto a Joel Osteen program at the UNLV Thomas and Mack Center.   Along with another 15,000 people we listened to some great, uplifting christian music, heard some awesome testimonials, and then heard a very uplifting message.  It sure helped calm my shatte... 09/08/2007
