The absorption rate for Las Vegas Valley Area Short Sales went up slightly for November 2008. Absorption still remains high and just slightly above the 2 year mark. Inventory has decreased sharply (-162 units). Pending units have decreased by -113 units. Solds have increased by +55 units. Absorption down 6 months but I do not believe the tide is turning. There are many reasons for the lack of closings in this market and it is outlined in this post.
