I am requesting input for developing the new strategic plan for the Kingswood neighbourhood in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. As a communications committee member of the Kingswood Ratepayers Association, we will be putting a survey together to be sent to everyone in the Kingswood and Kingswood North neighbourhoods for approval.  The survey will consist of ideas submitted for consideration to develop using funds collected from previous years and in coming years.  Some of the most popular ideas forwarded to date are: an ice rink surface, expanded soccer field, football field, lighting installed on fields, signage for walking trails and renewal of children's playgrounds. There has been so much written lately regarding the exclusivity of the MLS system that I think the services of a REALTOR® has been lost.  What's missing?  To name but a few: Objectivity: Representing a party objectively and in the best interest of that party is extremely valuable.  Selling a house every 5-10 years does not an expert make.  Homeowners are too emotionally attached to their homes to be objective and see their homes as a product to marketed to other target markets. Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia is a mixture of a varierty of smaller subdivisions...Kingswood, Glen Arbour, Maplewood, White Hills, Halliburton, Westwood, Tantallon, and Upper Tantallon. It's a great place to live and raise a family. Our family moved into the Maplewood subdivision 5.5 years ago with no children. We found a beautiful home on the Beaver Lake and settled in.
