I recently listed and SOLD a home in NW Albuquerque's Las Marcadas neighborhood. Las Marcadas is a small neighborhood tucked away near the north end of Petroglyph National Monument. The homes in the neighborhood were built by a variety of home builders including early RayLee homes by Scott Grady, US Homes, Home by Kim Brooks and Opel Jenkins, perhaps NW Albuquerque's best home builder of the era.I often tell home buyers I meet that the area from Calle Nortena to the south and Paradise Hills Blvd to the north along Golf Course Blvd is the Sweet Spot of NW Albuquerque real estate.Las Marcadas Subdivision Las Marcadas subdivision is right in the middle of that area along with other great neighborhoods like Richland Hills, Rancho Sereno and Riverview Estates.Homes in this area of NW Albuque...

I've got a terrific new listing in one of NW Albuquerque's best neighborhoods, Las Marcadas. 9319 Drolet Drive NW is a beautiful one-story custom home that was built by Kim Brooks in 2006. Built during the peak of the real estate market, Kim Brooks was a popular builder because he was willing to modify floorplans to meet customer needs when few other builders would. Not only were the homes semi-custom, they were built by fine craftsman who paid great attention to detail. I ought to know, I live in a kim Brooks home in The Trails at Las Marcadas. Please watch this short two and half minute hosted home tour: This home features numerous outstanding features, learn more by clicking here. Las Marcadas is a popular neighborhood located in Northwest Albuquerque at the northwest corner of Paseo del Norte and Golf Course Blvds. The majority of the homes in Las Marcadas were built in the 1990's by RayLee Homes and Opel Jenkins. The stucco homes in the neighborhood were built primarily by RayLee Homes and the brick homes by Opel Jenkins. Many of the RayLee homes feature southwestern stylings including kiva fireplaces, tongue and groove ceilings and vigas. The Opel Jenkins homes are more traditional in style and usually include large kitchens with large, sturdy oak cabinetry. Many of the lots in the neighborhood are larger, and some lots on Tia Christina and Jill Patricia streets back up to Petroglph National Monument. The homes in The Trails at Las Marcadas were built from 200...
