       Several years I found a new way to our Shore House.As I drove past this Restaurant , I was stunned by the number of cars in the parking lot . Well I just floated the name Ventura’s Offshore Cafe on FB and discovered there were lots of folks who loved eating at this place .It’s also a very easy commute from Ocean City ,NJ ( just stay on Shore Rd to Northfield) .        I first went there with my Brother in law and Sister in law. I noticed they offered a Wedge Salad and tipped off my Brother in law ( who likes them) .Well it was love at first site when they brought us 2plates of the above photo !      I’m back down in Ocean City , NJ since 10/26 .It was only a matter of time before I would want Seafood Marinara from Windjammers in Somers Point , NJ.   Linguini , Scallops, Shrimp,Mussels , clams and Crab meat . Salad and rolls topped off with a good Cabernet Sauvignon.One of my Summer favorites.             Heading back to Lancaster , PA tomorrow tofinish painting a unit we will soon have on the Market .      We had a blast in Carlsbad , CA last year . We woke up everyday with agreat view of the Pacific and it’s Ocean Breezes .  We toured all over town and enjoyed as many Local Restaurants as we could . On one of our stops,the server recommended a Pinot Grigio to us , Terra Alpina by Alois Lageder . We immediately moved it into one of our favorites .     Upon returning home to Pennsylvania, finding our next Bottle wasn’t going to be easy . You see the State (PA) controls 90% of Liquor Sales, and run what are known as State Stores . Your choice can be very limited . I'm shocked and dazed at the news that the legendary David Bowie passed away yesterday. He had been fighting cancer for the last 18 months...Some of the greatest music of my life time, mostly during my teen years, was all Bowie. Bowie broke some of the craziest rules and boundaries in rock and roll. I remember the first time I saw him doing Ziggy Stardust.    So the old saying goes that dogs are a man's best friend. Well, they may be, but not if you're looking to rent a place to live. In the age of foreclosures and short sales, this has become a prevalent problem.
