Moving to the suburbs offers many benefits for homeowners.  Instead of apartment living like you find in the City, you can own a home with four walls of your very own.  You can even have a yard, which is a rarity in New York City.  However, transportation from the Westfield community to work can be a hassle, especially when you have to coordinate train transfers.  Luckily, the Raritan Valley Line evening one seat ride is now open. Back in March of last year, the very first one seat ride (direct line) into New York City via the Raritan Valley Line launched.  However, it was only available during mid-day off-peak hours.  On Monday, January 12th, passengers on the Raritan Valley Line were able to take one seat rides after 8pm.  This is currently only available in the evenings on weekdays.... 01/16/2015

NJ Monthly Magazine publishes a biannual report, ranking the 339 high schools in the most educated state in the U.S.A. Westfield High School has leapt up to #21 in their idiocyncratic rating system.  We are very satisfied customers of Westfield schools K-12.  I feel our 2 children have been exquisitely well served by our system. So why the jump?  I attribute it to the magazine's tinkering with their measurement methods, which are now more intensely focused on college preparedness.  Frankly, that is what our high school feels itself to be all about.
