NJ.com calls me today wanting to sell me online advertising.  OK, I will take a look at it.  See if you have changed your ways at all.  What do I find.  Basically a rip off of Realtor.com, no direct links to the agents websites, and the links which you have to click on a link to get to the link, has a no follow tag on it so that no search engine credit passes,  For this they wan $299.00 per house advertised. My advice to everyone, stay away from the News Papers.  Until they get a clue all they are doing is charging you 5x what their service is worth. About the Author James Boyer, Realtor is a real estate consultant specializing in Real Estate Morristown Morristown Homes. Morristown Real Estate MarketThe Morristown Real Estate Market is holding its own.  There are currently 151 homes on the market as of the end of May there were 151 homes on the market & 50 homes under contract.  These numbers highlight the importance of making sure that you hire the best Realtor to market your home, and to price your home properly from the start.  The old method of pricing a home high and hoping to get it and reducing if you don't does not work well anymore.  Today pricing a home aggressively as compared to its competition is the best way to make sure to get the best price for your home, and hopefully a bidding war on it as well. Demand seems to be building a little with more and more people wanting to buy a new home but being unsure that the time is right due to all th...

I have been in the real estate industry for 4 years now. During that time I have learned a lot.  Some of what I have learned had come from making my own errors, and others came from doing the research.  The point of this story is that there is now enough information becoming available out there to keep Realtors from making the big financial mistakes that many have made in the past.   The Lead Seller:HomegainHomes.comHousevalues.com (homepages.com, justlisted.com)and many others who call and want to sell you zip codes for $40 to $400 a month They are the same in many respects.  The represent themselves as having 10's or even hundreds of leads in your area who need to be contacted right away, but where do these leads come from? In most cases these companies are doing what you should be do...

CNBC announced that new home sales were up 16+%. But why, massive discounting on the home builders part, to cut their losses and get out of lots of investments that will only hurt them if they continue to sit on them. Home builders are like your typical home seller, except they are usually smarter about knowing when it is time to cut the price and get the home to sell. They don't have the emotional attachment to the house or development, it is just business. This allows them many times to make the hard decisions much faster than your typical home owner. On the plus side if we could get 2 or 3 more news reports like this one over the next few months, the psychology of the Real Estate market likly would start to turn around. Other Blogs I have writen Technology for Real Estate, so fragile...

What does your neighbors in NJ know about Southwest Florida that you don't know?  It is about this time of year that I find that the number of NJ License plates starts to increase.  Perhaps I am sensitive, I moved from Summit, NJ in October 2001 and have never regretted a moment of it.  I constantly run into others from NJ and in fact my entire office of 5 is from New Jersey.  So what draws us here?  Well it is simple, this is paradise and we are drawn to it.  We are below the frost line so there is no threat of snow.  There is plenty to do with Golf, Tennis, Boating, Fishing and the Beach.  There is culture and it is a quick flight from Newark to Ft. Myers airport.              To find out what all the excitement is about here, here are a link to a few of my favorite Blogs about M...
