Maywood Recreation Trip to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular - November 29, 2010   The Maywood Recreation department has planned a trip to New York City to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on Monday, November 29th at 5pm. Seats are located in the orchestra section !!! There will be a bus leaving from the Maywood Pool Parking Lot at 3:15pm. (The Maywood Pool is located at 1 Brook Avenue in Maywood.) Maywood "Relay for Life" Walk - September 24th and 25th, 2010 Once again, Maywood, NJ is hosting a "Relay For Life" to benefit the American Cancer Society.   The Relay is scheduled for September 24th and 25th. Maywood hosted it's first Relay 2 years ago, and raised over $75,000.   Relay For Life, is the signature activity of the American Cancer Society, and more than 4000 events will be hosted throughout the country to benefit this worthy cause.   The event in Maywood will start at 7pm in the evening of September 24th, and end at 7am on ther next morning, the 25th.   The event includes hundreds of participants who form teams, with each team always having one member walking on the Memorial Park walking path for the entire 12 hours, as the rest of the team members wait their turn, and cam... 09/08/2010

Maywood Station Open House September 8th     The historic Maywood Station Museum (located at 269 Maywood Avenue) will hold an Open House on Wednesday September 8th, from 7pm to 9pm. Maywood Station Museum Open House August 4th !   The historic Maywood Station Museum located at 269 Maywood Avenue in maywood, NJ, is having an Open House to the public on August 4th from 7pm - 9pm. Maywood Hosts "BEST DRESSED DOG CONTEST"   The Maywood First Aid and Emergency Squad are hosting their first ever "Best Dressed Dog" contest during the Day At The Park event at Memorial park in Maywood on June 27th, 2010.   "Dressed Dogs" will be judged throughout the day !   All entrants may register on the day at the Maywood First Aid and Emergency Squad table.
