Occasionly I think about the wonderful trim work that was installed on my Somerset County home in Martinsville, NJ when I contracted Fine Homes Construction to do the work. I was so pleased with the way things turned out and the quality of the workmanship, that I'd like to share it with other local realtors and homeowners that live in Somerset County area. Henry Calvo, who is the  owner of Fine Homes Construction resides in Manville, NJ. He is one of the finest  hands on building contractor I know.  He did the trimwork on my home that consisted of exterior and interior door and window casings, crown moldings, and a remarkable coffered ceiling. He and I discussed the ideas I wanted implemented and together designed all the trim details on site.   I am happy to say the custom home project...

Living in Somerset County for many years has been a wonderful experience. With the nicer weather upon us, I'm sure that most folks are eager to take a drive and enjoy  viewing the beautiful country side. Somerset County offers a wonderful landscape of hiking areas and other recreational activities. There also is a more than ample deer population that has been here living here for many years. If you are new to the area and scouting around the countryside for a new home or just out driving to one of the many shopping areas here in Somerset County, please be aware of the huge deer popuation we have . During the day deer are fairly easily to spot. If you see a deer that is crossing the road ahead of you, be aware that more animals may follow, as they tend to move one behind the other. I wou...

Cutting your own Christmas tree is a fun holiday activity. You can find Christmas trees at New Jersey tree farms from our list below. But make sure you do it right so you don't wind up feeling "Grinchy"! Tips Below.   Tips for cutting down your Christmas tree from tree farms around New Jersey:First, don't just head out into the woods and make like Paul Bunyan - that's illegal. A local New Jersey tree farm will have much nicer, fuller Christmas trees due to the pruning and care they receive over the years. Go early. Waiting until the night before Christmas to get your tree may leave you trekking across lots of empty spaces filled with the "ghosts of trees past" in New Jersey tree farms. Bring a handsaw (some farms will loan you one). Chainsaws and axes are usually not allowed at most New...
