July saw a 42.6% increase in new listings coming on the market over July of 2013. 87 new single family homes where introduced to the market. Now's the Time to Buy a Home at the Jersey Shore - New Incentives for Home Ownership In an effort to encourage home ownership in rental squeezed Super Storm Sandy markets, state officials hope a new incentive pushes low and moderate income families to buy a house in communities impacted by the storm.   When is a Jersey Shore REALTOR® Not a REALTOR®? I get the phone message…the accent throws me.  It sounds like someone from western Pennsylvania! I return the call, from what the fellow on the other end is saying, I wrongly jumped to the conclusion that it’s a complaint about a car he purchased that weathered the Jersey Shore superstorm in Little Egg Harbor. HOW WRONG I WAS. This gentleman from Chicago did purchase the car and he loves it! But he found some personal photos and other items that might be valuable to the previous owner in Little Egg Harbor at the Jersey Shore, who likely lost everything. One of the photos has a street sign behind it, so I’m off today to see if I can find the Little Egg Harbor resident on Ensign, who owned a 2007 Lincoln Town Car. Little Egg Harbor's Cranberry Creek Retirement Community - 2012 Housing Market Report There are 4 homes for sale in Little Egg Harbor's Cranberry Creek adult community.  Those homes range in price from $172,000 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath home with 1475 square feet of living space up to $259,900 for a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath 2 story home with 2400 square feet. The 6 sales in 2012 in Little Egg Harbor's Cranberry Creek equaled the sales in 2011.  Prices are down a little, but according the the Ocean County Clerk's website there is no further pre-foreclosure activity in Cranberry Creek, nor are there any foreclosed properties. Let the Jersey Shore Rebuilding BeginNew Jersey Governor Chris Christie has issued an emergency order adopting tough new standards for rebuilding that dictates to municipalities and homeowners how high houses and buildings will need to be as well as how they are constructed.Those new standards are the Federal Emergency Management Administration's Advisory Base Flood Elevation maps released by the federal government in December.  Rather than wait to see if those are the recommendations are adopted by FEMA, the Governor's emergency order allows the Jersey Shore rebuilding effort to begin using those standards.
