http://www.crossegyptchallenge.com/the_team.html I am going to Egypt!  As I told you before I bought a scooter over the summer and have been enjoying it immensely.  I was sent a link to do this ride, and I filled out the application, and to my surprise they called me!  Being a New Yorker I am curious what the selection criteria was, which I will surely pester my hosts when I get there!   We will be riding from Alexandria Egypt to Abu Simbel by SCOOTER!  What a great way to see Egypt, this is being sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism to show the beauty of Egypt and also promote scooters as an alternate means of transportation.  Wish me luck, I'll be leaving on October 10, 2011 until October 24 2011.

Hoboken Parking: Extended Hours To Better Serve You   This town gets better by the day. The always conscientious and considerate parking HPU is extending its hours to serve the community. First a bank open 7 days a week and now the HPU protecting our streets from parking offenders until 2am. It is apparent that the HPU is hearing the community loud and clear. Just the other day I am in line at Stop and Shop and I overheard two guys complaining that meter maids seem to just disappear at 8:59pm. How ridiculous when the meters run until 9pm. There's never any place to park after 9pm. Now Lovely Rita will be on the beat until 2am and it's only a matter of time that the meters will be extended until the new close. Why shouldn't those out of town clubbers feel the pain of running out and pump...

I gottatell you, I am still amazed at the power of Craigslist.  I have been keeping a relatively low key since the middle of July, not really posting, just laying low.  Truth is even though I didn't post any ads on Craislost, I still managed to do 12 deal between July 13 and the end of August, not bad at all I think.  I was just taking some 'me' time so to speak, there were no issues. The Hoboken condo market supply has dropped to just over 4 months (4.36 month supply) based upon the most recent 30-Day Hoboken Condo Market Absorption Rate, a significant drop from the previous weeks rate which was at 5.22 months.     This is the rate where the total condo inventory that is presently on the market for sale would be "absorbed" by the pace of units placed under contract within the last 30 days as of 8/19/11.   Many buyers are surprised by the amount of activity we are presently seeing in the Hoboken condo market. Sales of pervious occupied homes fell in June for a third straight month for a seasonally adjusted 4.77 million. The pace is lagging behind the 4.91 million homes sold last year – THE FEWEST SINCE 1997. New home sales also declined in June and are trailing last year sales, which were the worst on records dating back nearly ½ century. On the up side: The average rate on a 15-20-30 year fixed mortgage has fallen to its lowest level in decades.
