Market Report Franklin Borough NJ May 2010 During The month of May 2010 there were 5 newly marketed properties in the Borough of Franklin, NJ with an average list price of $198,860.00. Five properties went under contract with an average asking price of $155,512.00 with an average on days of only 69 days! Six properties Closed title with an average asking price of $166,866.00 and an average closed price of $163,333.00 and the average days on the market were 90 days! Good news is that there were only three properties that expired for the month. The reason this is good is that it shows that there is a strong confidence by sellers that their house will sell. " The Franklin Municipal Building was completely restored in 1997-1999. The building was originally built in 1929 for the Sussex County Trust Co. The interior now consists of two floors of modern offices.  Franklin Borough received the New Jersey Planning Officials "Achievement in Planning Award" on April 27, 2001 for a rehabilitation project that impacts and improves the standards of a neighborhood. Franklin is an old mining town with about 25 Ore's that are found no where else in the world.
