The fun and festivities for ages 3 to 8 will begin at 6 p.m. sharp.  There will be three separate fields for individual age groups all beginning at 6 p.m. sharp.  Ages 3 and 4 will be on the softball field.  Ages 5 and 6 will be on field #2. Ages 7 and 8 will be on field #3. The recreation department of Somersworth New Hampshire has told me that the Easter Bunny promised to hide lots of eggs, so all children should bring a basket or bag to hunt with.  April has been a fairly rainy month so far in Somersworth New Hampshire so egg hunters and parents are being told to be prepared to possibly hunt for eggs in the mud.  The forecast seems...

Somersworth New Hampshire Real Estate and Relocation Tour Somersworth, New Hampshire is located in the scenic seacoast region of the state. The town was first settled before 1700 as a parish of Dover and was called Sligo after the Irish county which was home to an early colonial governor. In 1729, the parish of Summersworth was organized separately, and in 1754 the community was incorporated under its present name by Colonial Governor Benning Wentworth. Situated at the 100-foot drop of the Salmon Falls River, Somersworth emerged as a prosperous mill town by the early decades of the 19th century. The community grew rapidly throughout the next several decades, with a significant influx of new residents arriving to work in the mills from Ireland and Quebec. While the region's textile econo...

Located only 15 minutes north of Portsmouth New Hampshire lies the small town of Somersworth.  Sligo, the original name of the city of Somersworth, was a part of a larger area called Dover, settled in 1700.  Organized as the Parish of Summersowrth in 1729 and then incorporated as a separate town in 1754.  Due to a clerical error, the incorporation changed the spelling to Somersworth.  Only to be lated incorporated as the City of Somersworth in 1893. With a rich history as a mill town, imigrants flocked to the city from all over the world.  Textiles were the main source for employment, but there were also several  sawmills, and cotton and woolen manufacturing buildings. This is just a brief synopsis of the rich history you can find located at the Somersworth Historical Society Museum.  ...

Every year, for the past 3 years, my family and I have had a ton of fun around Halloween.   As many people know, fall, and particularly Halloween, is especially fun here in New England.  With Salem Massachusetts only 1 hour away, and a great area to grow pumpkins,  I figured, why not run with it.  My son, who will be 6 next week, always seems to enjoy the all of the traditions we as a family have created associated with the holiday.  We tend to not really go overboard, but we do however have some traditions that most families do not.Our family tradition, which my son loves, I believe is one that will hopefully continue for years and years.  This tradition started 4 years ago at my house, and has now evolved into a larger thing.   We invite all of our friends and family, and now have sta...
