I think someone forgot to tell this flock of geese we are expecting anywhere from 6-12 inches of snow Friday! Normally this time of year we see the return of our feathered friends to New England.  I think this flock of geese must not have gotten the memo about Friday pending Nor' Easter! There is a saying in New England, and if your familiar with the area, then might already know what I'm about to say.  "If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute!"

Wentworth Greenhouses, located in Rollinsford New Hampshire has been a family favorite for a few years now.  For the past three years, my wife, son, and I travel to the greenhouse and pick several flowers to plant in our front yard.  The best part of this tradition has been the day we choose to do this.  Instead of going for brunch or dinner like most families, my family chooses to do this on Mothers day.  Every May I get to see my wife's eyes light up with enjoyment seeing the wonderful array of flowers and plants to choose from. This year, Wentworth's has just made me fall in love with them even more.  Wentworth Greenhouses recently announced the opening of a Summer Farmers' Market, featuring locally produced vegetables, food products, and select crafts, slated for Tuesdays beginni...

Nestled back in it's original home town of Rollinsford New Hampshire lies a small piece of New Hampshire history.  Originally built in 1701, in a quaint Seacoast New Hampshire town, the Col. Paul Wentworth Home was the residence of of Col. Paul Wentworth and his wife Abra Brown, until his death in 1748.In 1936 the home was moved from it's original location and moved by it's then current owners, Mae, and Frederick Blodgett, to Dover Massachusetts until their deaths in 1980 and 1999.The home was moved back to it's original site in 2002, after a generous donation by the current land, and building owner in Dover Massachusetts, Kenneth Rendell.    A historic specialist and his crew, carefully started the dismantling process in 2002, returning it to Rollinsford piece by piece. After several lo...

Come Enjoy Rollinsford NH Originally settled around 1630, Rollinsford NH was first a part of Dover NH .The town was originally called SLIGO, this name still remains on a road in town.  Next, it was established a parish in 1729 and called SUMMERSWORTH because ministers preached here in the summers.  Next it would be incorporated as a town by Govenor Benning Wentworth , later called Somersworth due to a clerical error.  It was later named  Rollinsford after a local prominent business man EDWARD H. ROLLINS.One of the great features of the town is the Colonel Paul Wentworth House, one of the oldest surviving dwellings constructed in New Hampshire.  In 1936 the home was relocated to Dover, Mass., until 2001 when it was dismantled and brought back to it's home town.        ...
