Visitors and residents are drawn to the town for the lakes and mountains which provides a high quality of living. Holderness School an excellent private high school and Plymouth State University located in Holderness and Plymouth, offers excellent educational, cultural, and commercial assets complementing the grace of the countryside.            The Squam Lake region is one of the most desirable areas in our state.
