Papillion is a great place to call home and raise a family.  Overland Hills has 5 different phases with over 750 homes.  Here is a market recap for Overland Hills in Papillion, Nebraska for 2008. As you know 2008 wasn't the best year for real estate, however, there were 37 homes sold in 2008 or up 8% from 34 in 2007.  Currently, as of February 24, 2009, there are 7 active listings and 2 homes sold since January 1, 2009. Amid mixed feelings, Dr. Jack's officially opened a new tattoo parlor in downtown Papillion on January 14, 2009.   Mayor Blinn was present for the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Many Papillion residents objected to the idea of a tattoo shop in Papillion fearing it will mar the city's clean-cut, small town image and will be a negative attraction for the local youth.   The objectors noted that the store is located just a few blocks from the junior high.  At today's ceremony some people expressed the opinion that in a year the big flurry of concern will be forgotten.   Troy Trumm, Trumm Team - Omaha, NE Omaha Homes For Sale Omaha Real Estate

Active Listings, as of December 2, 2008 and Sold Data from November 1, 2008 to November 30, 2008.  Months supply is the number of active listings divided by the number of sold listings for the month. Active Listings, as of November 6, 2008 and Sold Data from October 1, 2008 to October 31, 2008.  Months supply is the number of active listings divided by the number of sold listings for the month. There are a lot a different communities and subdivisions to live in Omaha, NE.  Papillion Nebraska is where I chose to buy a home and raise a family.  So as local Papillion Realtor, I decided to create a webpage just for the Papillion La Vista area.  Some of the things, I liked about Papillion is the small town feel with lower crime rates and quality schools.  Now with the recent additions of local shopping and restaurants at Shadow Lake Towne Center, I think Papillion has greatly improved over the past couple of years.  If you live in Papillion, I would love to hear what you like. A few weeks back I was invited by Papillion La Vista School District to an informational meeting for Papillion Realtors.  One topic discussed was the proposed change in school district boundaries.  One question asked was "Why does PLSD need to change the boundary?"  Their response was the majority of Papillion's growth is south of Cornhusker, by changing the boundary now will help equalize the student population between the two high schools in the future.             There was an article in the Omaha World Herald about the proposed boundary changes.  If you live in or considering moving to Eagle Hills, Eagle Ridge and Cottonwood this boundary change will affect you.

Active Listings, as of June 11, 2008 and Sold Data from May 1, 2008 to May 31, 2008.  Months supply is the number of active listings divided by the number of sold listings for the month. The May l real estate market was up slightly from April to May.  Sarpy county months supply dropped from 7.04 to 5.25.  Total number of homes sold for Sarpy county increased from 161 to 212 homes or up 51 homes.   With the warmer weather, more buyers are getting out and looking at homes.  I continue to believe there are a couple of wild cards for this year with the recent changes in the mortgage market and the threat, the pending, how the cur...

With Spring just around the corner, home owners start thinking about selling their home before the next school year.  Over past three years, Hunters Crossing and Hunters Ridge, sales have averaged 18 homes sold per year.  In 2007 and 2006 there were 17 homes sold, 2005 there were 20 homes sold.  Currently, as of March 18, 2008, there are 6 active listings and 1 home sold since January 1, 2008.  The overall market conditions for the Papillion area remains a buyer's market.  The number of Papillion homes for sale is currently 220 with 23 sales in February 2008; this puts Papillion's month's supply of homes at 10.1 months. The March real estate market improved slightly from February.  Sarpy county months supply dropped as well from 9.9 to 7.63.  Douglas county months supply dropped slightly from 9.95 to 8.17.  Total number of sales for both Douglas and Sarpy counties increased from 477 to 607 homes or up 27.25%.   With the warmer weather, more buyers are getting out and looking at homes.  One thing about the Midwest/Omaha area is our economy is pretty stab...

Mr. Kellers American Government class recently submited several questions via YouTube for the CNN Republican Presidential Debate. More than 100 students posted 39 questions about abortion, immigration, and other hot button topics on YouTube to possibly be asked during the live CNN debate on Wednesday, Nov. 28th at 7PM.
