Hillsborough is getting a new park, Blackwood Farm Park, which is not quite like other parks.  No kinds of ball fields here but there is the opportunity to explore biddie house, the wood barns and all the other buildings that make up a farm.  In addition to sitting on the porch you can walk the trails and look at what it might have been 250 years ago.  Just ignore the I-40 noise.  The land was bought by Orange County in 2001 when the heirs sold the land.  Many of the extended Blackwood family were on hand for the opening of the park.
