 This is going to be a fun filled weekend with family and friend for the holiday.  It has been a  great day with them all. We started the weekend out by fixing a great spagetti supper for 14 to enjoy.  Going on with nice roast beef with rice and gravy, peas, string beans, corn, spiced apples, biscuits with Peach cobbler for dessert.Today the children swam in the creek, did some crabbing, went to the ocean for swim and washed off in the pool...then we ate barbecued ribs and chicken for a late dinner. This is a special time remembering those who have fought so valiantly to defend this great county of ours. God Bless.Ginger of Southport 05/23/2015

 I just read a post from another Active Rainer regarding folks that just talk too much and waste your time when you are busier than a "one armed Paper Hanger". WE have a few agents in our workplace that just like to talk and when you see them coming , you want to cringe because you have not compeleted the project that you are working on. I have yet to find the right words to let them know that I am busy and do not have time to chit chat. They will begin a story that goes on and on and there seems to be no ending. Love these folks but talk with me after hours.  I do not need to know every detail nor learn about a friend that I do not know and will never meet.    05/20/2015

 Living along the coast of North Carolina, between Myrtle Beach SC and Wilmington NC, we are subject to a lot of wind and rain as a result of Ana.  We are getting rain bands even now. Ana is not a hurricane yet but a strong tropical storm.  I think the the wind gust are about 60 MPH right now.  It is expected to come ashore about 2 PM...close to us.  Right on the North Carolina ~ South Carolina border, Usually treacherous rip tides happen with this kind of storm.    Be particularly careful is swimming this weekend.. Happy Mother's Day to all you Mothers..  05/09/2015

                Retirement Insecurity and Social Security      According to a new Gallup poll, retirement worries are on the rise.  The poll found that a majority (52%) of non-retired Americans now doubt they will have enough money to live comfortably once they retire.  This represents an 18% increase from five years ago.  According to the Employee Benefits Research Institute, one out of four Americans has decided to delay their age of retirement in the past year.   The Gallup poll also indicated that a large percentage of Americans approaching retirement do not understand social security retirement benefits.  Many fear that social security will not be there when they reach retirement.  With the leading edge of the baby boomers (those born in 1946) reaching 62 this year, there is a lot ... 05/07/2015

We love the weather channel and keeping up with what  is going on with the weather that is going to  affect us. Right now there is a tropical depressions that may be the early makings of a hurricane.  This seems so very early for a hurricane to be brewing in our neck of the woods.. Do you have big weather events near You? Maybe this one will pass us by.  Not ready to deal with that at this point.. Ginger of Southport  05/04/2015

  I just learned of this experiment and tried it a few times.  Try it yourself and see what YOU think! Sometimes I go digging through myjunk drawer and find  a battery, but then ask yourself: Is this a new battery? Or is it an old battery that I just shoved into my junk drawer instead of discarding? I have been fortunate enough to work face to face with sellers today.  I listed a house that is in an estate.  They were not sure that they were ready to sell.    I did some research for them and suggested that they put the house on the market.because it can't sell if no one knows it is for sale..I did the preliminary papers today and tomorrow I will do the write up on the property, take the pictures, put in MLS, put up the sign and prepare the advertising..There is stuff happening..     04/29/2015

It has been a good week this week.  Worked with Buyers yesterday and today it was sellers...   I have been fortunate enough to work face to face with sellers today.  I had listed one of their lots and they were going to take it off the market.  I did some research for them and suggested that they leave that lot on the market...because it can't sell if no one knows it is for sale..   They then asked to see if I would list one of their other lots.  They are excited to sell and we priced it at the lowest price in the community.  A buyer will come our way soon..   There is stuff happening...and I am so glad... Can we do it all or do we need someone to do it for us   What sites are best for us to invest our time and money it?   Thinking of PoP goes the Wessel.....   Today I have been working on social networks and getting more confused.   We started out with Twitter, then facebook, then My Space, and then ended with Ping.    If we just worked on each one of these sites it would take hours to update each of these sites.  I find it difficult to even to Craigs List.
