Did you know that over 700 Lake Norman REALTORS went out to 33 homes on April 24th, 2009 to help families fix up their homes in the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas? As part of one of the Huntersville, NC groups, I was one of the REALTORS that helped scrape, paint, caulk windows, landscape, and clean a home for a lucky homeowner.  We worked from 7:30am to 4:30pm and had a great pizza lunch provided by the sponsors. It was a lot of fun and we worked together with Prudential, RE/MAX Executive Realty agents, and some others. Barnette Elementary School in Huntersville, NC opened it's doors this past year and from talking to some of the parents in my neighborhood things have been great. My triplet boys will be attending next school year and we had our first open house visit this past week. It was better than expected. They were able to see the students eating lunch, playing in the gym and checking out the media center. After the tour was over my boys wanted to know if they could start school that day. The facilities are some of the nicest you will see in any elementary school. The school also sits next to one of the best soccer facility in the North Mecklenburg area. Actually. the Premier North Meck Soccer Club uses the complex for most of its practices and games. If you are moving to Huntersville, NC area an...

A place where neighbors know each other by name, where the sidewalks are made for strolling and where time moves just a little bit slower.  With so many things to do, you'll feel like it's summer all year long. For starters, there are miles of wooded forests perfect for exploring, playgrounds for the kids, a competition-sized pool and a splash pool. Just as important are neighborhood gathering spaces, the village square, outdoor pavilion and open park areas. And don't forget Downtown Huntersville, known for its authentic small town quality of life.  Check out Doug Smiths artcile in the Observer.  Amenities & Features Brand New Tower Homes from the high $150's Offering 3 stories of pure...

Share this with clients and Freinds if they are in this situation. Lower your interest, but keep your term: When rates drop you want to take advantage of it and lower your monthly payments, but keep the length of your mortgage. Take care of that balloon payment: You opted for a short-term ARM with a balloon payment and the due date is looming, so you have to come up with a longer-term loan. Shorten your term: Lower interest rates (or an increase in your income) mean you can pay down your principal faster. Credit rating change: Take advantage of an improved credit rating and get out from under that high rate you had to accept when you bought. You need cash: In some cases, you can refinance for an amount more than what you still owe on your home. Lenders limit the Loan to Value at no hi...

Just wanted to pass this experience on that happen to me yesterday. I have a closing Tomorrow in Cornelius NC and my client already did her taxes.  So told her that she would have to wait till next year to claim the $8000.00......right? Well  learned that she can file for an extention after the closing and but in this case it did not matter due to we are closing before April 15th and the government is still going to send her a $8000.00 back towards her this year!! Chalked that under something that you learn everyday!!! Hope this Helps some of you working  with First time Home Buyers.

I moved into the Stephens Grove neighborhood in Huntersville NC over 3 years ago with my wife Suzanne and 3 year old triplet boys. After living in Ft Lauderdale, FL for 15 years I was looking to find a home in the country. However, my wife is more of a city girl. So my dilemma was to find that happy median. After searching for a couple of weeks we stumbled across this neighborhood tucked away off this country road. (Stephens Road in Huntersville, NC) We wanted to be close to Lake Norman, NC, as well as, Uptown Charlotte (to keep the wife happy). It is a Shea Home community, which makes it even more attractive. Shea homes have always been a respected builder throughout the Carolina's and we loved their floor plans.   The amenties include a pool, tennis courts, basketball court, playgroun...

According to Foxnews.com, a 26 year old Huntersville man just had his stomach removed in early March in a Boston hospital. The man was having it removed because he has a history of stomach cancer in his family and had seen some relatives die of the disease, a very painful death. READ THE ARTICLE HERE What is SO wild is that I just watched my favorite show, "Gray's Anatomy" and the show had 3 siblings going in for the same surgery and with a very similar story line! Only 2 of the siblings got the surgery and the show was really good and drama-filled! So, I wonder if this Huntersville man knows he has a show written about his surgery? I'm sure some people will argue which came first the chicken or the egg? But after reading the article about the Huntersville, NC man, it's just too close! ...

Step aside Evian, Perrier, SanPelligrinio and Fiuggi!  Did you know that right here in our own town of Huntersville, located down a long country road off of Beatties Ford, is the Midas Spring, a "natural resource comparable to the best springs in Europe, which are prized for their health-giving benefits"?    We all know that water is good for us but how often do we just grab whatever bottled water is on sale not knowing that all waters are not the same? "Each mineral water has a particular content, created by the minerals it leaches from the surrounding rock in the underground aquifer where it resides" according to owner Joe Liburdi.  "Midas Spring Water is especially good since it has a very low chemical content but is rich in a few important elements.  It is considered a light mine...
