On the heels of my last post.  The town of Gold Hill is having a GHOST WALK on July 28th, 2012 starting at 8:00 pm and it is sponsored by the Gold Hill Merchant's Associatioin.  Registration begins at 7:30 at the Arbor in Gold hill and to GPS the location you can use 840 St. Stephen's Church Road, Gold Hill, NC  28071.  You can easily imagine yourself walking around this quaint village in the 1800's and what these ghosts of the past would be dressed like and the tour guide promises to be just as informative and intriguing as you would imagine.  The cost of the tour is only $5 and kids under 6 are free!  Hope several of you go out and support this fun community just in our back yard! 07/09/2012

A recent visit to The Historic Village of Gold Hill proved to be something I had not expected.  Quite a destination in all actuality.  We felt as though we had not only left our regular lives and entered a new dimension, but we also felt that this place being less than 30 minutes from our Target was more than amazing. The shops are open Thursday through Saturday 11-5:00 and Sunday 1-5.  The restauraunt is also opne until 10:00.  Their website is www.goldhillnc.com.  A more charming destination could not be found and the event calendar is sweeping. I would be willing to bet a child could easily see 10 things they never knew existed in our history and an adult quite a few as well.  There are more than 17 different locations to look through and at.  All of them demonstrate something about ... 07/06/2012
