The 5K race is scheduled for 4 p.m. It’ll start and end at Lake Benson Park (921 Buffalo Road). Runners can dress in Halloween costumes for a chance to win a prize. The Family Fun Run starts at 5 p.m. in the park. Participants can trick-or-treat their way through the one-mile course. Costumes are encouraged. CONGRATULATIONS Scotty McCreery!!     Thrilled that Garner's own Scotty McCreery is the new winner of American Idol!   Over 8,000 fans of Scotty McCreery gathered at the RBC Center in Raleigh the night that Ryan Seacrest announced that after 122.4 million viewer votes were counted, none other than Garner's own Scotty McCreary is the next winner of American Idol!! Raleigh Area Scrap Metal Recycling - TT & E Iron & Metal - WOW!A few weeks ago, I went to TT&E Iron & Metal - my first experience at a scrap metal recycling facility.  TT&E is a family owned business established in 1975,  located just outside Raleigh NC and is quite the operation!  They buy all sorts of scrap metal; process and then ship it all to refining companies.  SCARY dinosaur guarding the place - so be careful! MOUNTAINS OF METAL JUNK!   Everyone should go and visit a place like TT&E to get a close up sense of how much "scrap metal" we all produce! American Idol Contestant Scotty McCreery is Putting Garner, NC On The Map!   I have never watched American Idol, WHAT!!! It's true I have never sat through an American Idol episode, I'd rather eat nails! But I am aware of this Garner, NC native Scotty McCreery who is thrilling the whole of North Carolina with his singing on the show. Garner NC Real Estate Market Report - March 2011 Garner, NC real estate is looking stable month over month.  You'll see below (red indicates increases in supply, green indicates decreases) there are 20.9% less new active listings in March compared to February, a 4.7% increase in the number of total active homes available, 6 less homes under contract and 4 more closings at the end of March. Taking us back to January for reference there were very similar stats with 42 new active, 160 active, 9 closed homes and 14 under contract.
