We had our weekly Boost Class today. Today was very interesting in the fact that we are going to have a group "Call Night" every Tuesday. This is at time that we will call our Sphere of Influence or Book of Business...  It is a non-threating way to get a hold of folks that you need to talk to and have just neglected to do so. Is Business picking up for you? I am in the coastal part of North Carolina, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River join.  It has been slow here for the past 4 years but I am beginning to see some increased activity.  Everyone says that we have reached the bottom...I am not so sure, but I do know that prices are much more affordable.  I almost feel that we are back to pre 2005 prices.  Does anyone else get that feeling?   Share your thoughts please, Ginger Of Southport 09/28/2010

Blackberry curve is such a wonderful tool...once you have mastered the phone it's self.  I am loving it right now. With earlier tech support, I have been able to download Top Producer 8i and put all of my sellers information on the phone. Todndy ay we had Maundy Thursday at our Church and did the Lenten Sketches. It was one of the most sacred programs that I have ever been involved with.  We had the most beautiful music that we have ever sung.  WE had a portrayal of Jesus in Agony in the garden of Gethsemane...and then the anguish of the cross.   Very touching. This is the real meaning of Easter to me. He died so that we can have life and have it more abundantly.   God be with YOU. Ginger 04/01/2010

Today, we performed our Sea Notes, Spring concert at Hatch Auditorium on Caswell Beach NC and it was      "All About Love".  Our Director, Diane Hoffman chose a good number of songs that were all about love,  Love of Country, Love of friends, Love of each other.  It was fun and I enjoyed performing this concert. Today was a family Day in  Southport. We lost our Mother on Sunday of last week and  and the family has been rallying around us.  Tonight at Mama's house...we fed about 30 folks.   These were family from all over the SE United States. It is sad when it take this to bring the fmaily togerher.   We usually get together for the 4th of July...but now this sad time...but a celebration of Mama's life..brings us together again.   Peace, Ginger of Southport 10/17/2009

I have found it a bit hard getting back to work today after enjoying the family all weekend long.  What a fabulous time we had.  The grape picking and the grape stomping was so much fun to watch!  The grandchildren had a ball...to say the least. Today after having a Spaghetti Dinner with all the trimming for a change..(Homemade sauce from tomatoes pricked from the garden last eve)....WE went into the yard to pick grapes.  We had one mama, one 7 year old, one 3 year old and one 1 year old helping us to pick the grapes.  We must have picked a peck or so.  I think brought the grapes in side and thought about cleaning all those little feet and letting them do the  "Lucy Stomp"...Jimmy did not think that was a very good idea...but I still  do...  Next time, I will  let you know that ..that is what we did.'  We will be putting up jelly tonight.  Probably about 15 pints..   Ginger of Beaver Dam  Creek 08/30/2009

But once again, the decline was all due to a drop in the volatile multi-family part of the market. Likewise, building permits for single-family homes were UP 5.8% for July, gaining for the fourth month in a row! Energy Tax Information   The Cap and Trade bill is coming up for a vote in the Senate of the United States soon. It narrowly passed in the House a couple weeks ago. Today was a special day as every day is...when you have the precious grandchildren around. Today, we had four of the five little ones around us.  Today consisted of tent making, grass cutting,  fishing on dock, eating out and  watching movies. It is so great to have them  with us. Wow.. I had two closings this week.  The market is so slow that it is a real joy to have payday. It still seems like getting our properties to closing seems more difficult than it was in earlier years.  Lenders seem to be giving our clients a harder time unless that are squeeky clean.  I understand why this is happening.  If they had been more diligent earlier, we may not be in this mess.
