Montreat, North Carolina is a small little community of 630 located nesteled into the mountains about 14 miles east of Asheville. This is a quiet and serene community that was originally founded as a spiritual retreat. As the towns website indicates, there is no commercial development in the town and the streets are narrow and winding actually encouraging people to leave their cars behind and spend some time walking the trails and enjoying the beautiful environment and abundant nature that encapsulates this enchanting town.
