Municipal (Inspection) Mania in the Lafayette High School District If your home is under contract, the only inspections you need to worry about are those ordered by the buyers, right? That could be wrong, depending on where you live! The real estate contract gives the sellers of a St. Louis home a period of time, usually 15 days after a contract is accepted, to schedule whatever municipal inspections are required and to let the buyers know, in writing, of anything required to be fixed that they are not going to do.
