Go Automotive in Ozark, MO Being the daughter of an auto mechanic, I didn't experience what it was like to deal with auto repair shops until I was well into my '30's.  I'd heard the horror stories.  Let's face it, I don't know the first thing about the mechanics of a vehicle.  They could tell me something was needed, and I wouldn't know the difference.  I quickly discovered that finding a good auto repair shop that I could trust to look out for MY best interests was as easy as finding the Holy Grail. Ashley and Amy Gilbert opened Go Automotive in 2009 in Ozark.  I passed by their shop several times and it piqued my curiosity just because the mere fact that anyone was actually opening a new business in 2009 was a rarity.  I met Amy Gilbert in December of 2009.  She had a quirky sense of...

Today was the first day of school for students in Ozark Missouri. It seems like summer just started but it flew by as usual. We all hit the back to school bargains and got our kids prepared for the big day. Our son Jacob is a Junior this year and we are so proud of him! He has his driver's license now and of course is wanting to get a car. We keep explaining to him that having a car means getting an after school job!  He doesn't care, he just wants a car.   Now that school has started it's time for high school football.  Jacob plays in the marching band and we as parents have gotten so involved with the students.  We have a great time helping and watching them perform.  Oh, and we do watch a little of the football games too when Jacob isn't performing!   We want to wish all the students...

Shocking, I know.  Who would have thought?  I'm not cool.  I had no idea.  They said it would happen, but I thought, "Not me, not my son."  (Sigh)  They were right.  There were a few signs, a few red flags, but I chose to ignore them. I mean....really.  What was I thinking?  I had no idea that I wasn't suppose to walk next to him, or talk to him in front of the other kids.  I thought taking his backpack full of supplies with him to the first day of school was a great idea.  I thought I was being thoughtful when I tried to hand him a honeybun on his way into the school....you know, in case he needed a snack.  He loves honeybuns.  And why was it such a bad idea to want to take a picture of him in front of the Junior High?  He didn't mind in elementary school.  And yes, I forgot to take th...
