Demolition is almost complete on the historic Riverside Inn in Ozark MO. All that is left of the Inn is plies of rubble and soon even that will be gone. The 87 year old restaurant has flooded several times over the years due to its close proximity to the Finley River.  No one is certain the future of the property where the Inn stood other than it can not be built on again. Hopes are that it will become public property for Ozark residents to enjoy. 08/08/2010

Saturday was the Eleventh Annual Rubber Duck Race at the Finley River Park in Ozark MO. There were hundreds of people (and ducks!) in attendance. The word of the day was HOT! We were selling real estate in Springfield MO in the morning but made it back to Ozark in time to enjoy the events. This year the event was sponsored by the Ozarks Sertoma Club with proceeds going to benefit the Ozark and Nixa Care to Learn funds, which helps meet students' immediate needs of health, hunger, and hygiene. In years past the money went to the parks department. Another big change this year was there was no Kinetic Contraption Race. Unfortunately there wasn't enough interest this time to have the race. Springfield Mo Market Reports - Ozark Mo Sales - 2010 Ozark Missouri sales for April - June of 2010 had 147 sales while sales in Ozark for 2009 was only 94. The Fair and Carnival in Ozark MO at the Christian County Fairgrounds runs from Thursday to Saturday this week. Once again the Finley River Park will be filled with people enjoying the entertainment, food, carnival rides, animals, and more. Don't you just love fair food? Lambert’s Cafe in Ozark MO is famous for their down-home cooking as well as their “throwed rolls”. If you don’t know what that means it’s exactly what it says; they throw them across the room to you!
