Perhaps...Because private boat docks have been "grandfathered in," on Table Rock Lake, the easiest way to obtain a private boat dock is to purchase a home on the lake that already has one. Suppose you want to purchase a lakefront lot, build a new home, and have a private dock? The first step is to find a lot available for sale that is "zoned" for boat docks. The Corps of Engineers has designated 10% of the shoreline in specific areas as having boat dock zoning.   Finding and purchasing such a lot, however, does not necessarily mean that you can start construction on a private dock. It is imperative that a prospective buyer visit with the Corps of Engineers first, as there are other criteria besides zoning that must be met such as distance from other docks, width of the lake at the prope...

Visitors are often confused about the location of Table Rock Lake, which is understandable. The answer is long...with nearly 800 miles of shoreline, Table Rock Lake is located in many cities and towns. Starting on the west side of Branson at Table Rock Dam, the lake continues south through Hollister, Ridgedale, and down into Arkansas where it stops with a small section over the state line. To the west of Ridgedale is the Blue Eye area of the lake off of Highway 86. We often refer to the Ridgedale/Blue Eye area as the South Side of Table Rock Lake. Very near the dam, to the north, is Indian Point. Continue on west and you'll come to Branson West and Reeds Spring. This sparks confusion for most folks from out of the area. When you look at a map, neither Reeds Spring nor Branson West is ne...
