La Iguana original Taco & Burrito Resturant opened just east of Cracker Barrel on Hwy 76 a couple years ago and people have fallen in love with the California-style food that is not normally available in this area.  Owner Alex has found demand greater than he could have hoped and is in the process of getting the new La Iguana opened as soon as all the permits and requirements have been met.  It is located on Fall Creek at the corner of Fall Creek Rd. and Hwy 165 in south Branson to provide for another group of locals that want an alternative to the typical Tex-Mex menu served in towns around the Ozarks of Missouri.  I talked with Alex the other day: La Iguana 2 Grand Opening Preview!

Unbelievable I thought after searching for a buyer with excellent credit, who wanted to buy a nightly rental unit at Indian Point Village. The price was $119,000 and no local bank or mortgage lender would touch it with a ten foot pole even with 20% down! So another agent suggested a lender in St. Louis at Heartland Bank. According to the MLS statistics, Branson single family homes sales last month total was 23 single family, built-on-site homes with the highest priced one selling for $525,000 and the lowest priced one selling for $49,900.  That is an increase of five homes sold over the previous month.  The medium price of $135,000 is a lower medium home price of homes sold in the previous month's Branson Real Estate Market.  The number of short-sale and foreclosed homes included in these totals was 10 homes which is a huge influence in our current Branson Real Estate Market.  There were 9 condos reported to have closed escrow last month and they ranged from $159,900 to $32,000 in price.  The condo sales median price of $75,000 shows an increase in the number of condos sold and prices, which means less ...

Steve Mattison, Ozarksagent for Branson Missouri. When I was about 4 years old this was taken in a local park where I had found a cigarette according to my slightly younger cousin who sent it to me.  Unfortunately, I do not know who else is in this photo.  I am going to our annual family reunion in that same park this weekend so may find out.  When I was a little older I learned to fish on the James River and wanted to come back here to retire and fish in these same great waters.  But first I did some college, my duty in the Marines over in Vietnam, and more college, raised a family, served as a missionary and was ready to retire.      I was ready for the fishing and enjoying the James River and Table Rock Lake like I had dreamed of, so my bride and I moved to the Branson Missouri area....

Branson Missouri Real Estate Market Report for June 2011 According to the MLS statistics, Branson single family homes sales last month total was 18  homes with the highest priced one selling for $359,900 and the lowest priced one selling for $20,000.  That is a decrease from last month and a sign of major foreclosure influence in the Branson single family homes market.  The medium price of $143,000 is also sad news for our Branson Real Estate Market.   There were 6 condos that were reported to have closed escrow last month and they ranged from $147,500 to $55,000 in price.  These sales were also down from last month with a median price of $60,000 which shows a foreclosure influence increase in the Branson Condo Market as well.   Market information for land, farm and mobile-home sales a...

Branson Missouri Real Estate Market Report for May 2011 According to the MLS statistics, Branson single family homes sales last month total was 27 homes with the highest priced one selling for $396,000 and the lowest priced one selling for $34,500. That is a minor improvement of two more homes over last month and good news for the Branson area.  The medium price of $100,000 is not really good news for our Branson Real Estate Market, which is a result of the foreclosure market influence. There were 7 condos that were reported to have closed escrow last month and they ranged from $199,900 to $60,000 in price. Is it finally time to realize your dream of home ownership? In many cases today the answer is yes. The single biggest reason why, is because interest rates are not going to stay at an all time low forever! Secondly, with the number of houses on the market at the present time, it's hard to drive through any neighborhood without finding at least one incredible deal! It's unfortunate that so many people have had a tough time in with the real estate investments. But yes this really happened to many people and it's not wrong of you to take advantage of their bad fortune. In many cases you may be helping them out, or helping to get our economy back on track just my making a smart decision. I'll have to get back to this later. According to the MLS statistics, Branson single family homes sales last month total was 11  homes with the highest priced one selling for $239,000 and the lowest priced one selling for $58,000.  That is 1 less sold than last month on a short month so not much change to note.  The medium price of $167,000 is a good increase which is some much needed good news for our Branson Real Estate Market.   There were 3 condos that were reported to have closed escrow last month and they ranged from $94,500 to $220,000 in price.  These sales were half as many as sold last month but a higher median price of $130,000 which shows very little improvement in the Branson Condo Market.   Market information for land, farm and mobile-home sales and more information is available by request.  Call or email me ...

According to the latest statistics, Branson, MO single family homes sales last month total was 12 single family homes.  The highest priced one sold for $420,000 and the lowest priced one sold for  $101,000.  The medium price of $185,000 shows less foreclosed homes sold than last month and more primary residence buyers in the market now.  A positive report for the Branson area home sales and a great beginning in 2011.   There were 5 condos that closed escrow last month and they ranged from $245,000 to $75,000.  These sales were  higher priced range of condos with a median price of about $125,000.  This is  a positive indicator for the condo seller in the Branson Real Estate Market.   Market reports for land, farm and commercial sales and much more is available by request.  Call (417)350-...

If you have thought about retirement in the mid-west why not consider Branson, MO? Most of my clients are retirees and this list includes some reasons why they have choosen Branson over other places in the country.     1. Mild Weather With Change of Seasons-During the winter when most of the country  is overwhelmed by heavy snow and ice Branson and the Ozarks have a more comfortable average of 40 degrees.
