Up until now, Branson has seen over $65 million in construction for 2007 and officials estimate a total of $100 million for the year. Construction progress continues to move steadily along Branson Hills Parkway, where the new Wal-Mart Supercenter will open next spring and Kohl's this fall. Crews are also diligently working to realign Forsythe Boulevard off Highway 76 in hopes to reduce the steep grade and make room for additional retail development. And just across the bridge, in Hollister, the city has recorded over $7 million in construction for the year, much of that going towards residential development. 07/17/2007
