In the centrally located Ramsey County community of Shoreview, MN new listings were down just slightly in 2017. This comes as no surprise because housing inventory is sparse across the greater Minneapolis/St Paul metro. New listings were down just 1.7% from the previous year. This likewise, caused a drop in closed sales (down by roughly 2.4% compared to 2016). This lack of housing inventory drove prices up significantly. The average sales priced skyrocketed to $281,106 up nearly 13%. The average price per square foot rose considerably too. Shoreview homes sold at an average $141 per square foot in 2017. It doesn’t take long for the sold signs to be posted in Shoreview either. A home stays on the market for an average of 45 days. This is down over 16% from the previous year. And home ...

Considering a new home? Consider Shoreview, Minnesota  This vibrant community attracts attention for many other reasons besides the twin, skyscraping, radio transmission towers reaching high 1400+   feet into the air. Though not officially incorporated until 1957, Shoreview has a rich history. A good portion of what is now known as Shoreview was once inhabited by Dakota and Ojibwe Native America tribes. It was ceded to the US Government from the Ojibwe in 1837 and soon became known as a farming community. The Soo line of the railroad expanded into Shoreview in the late 1800’s and soon New Englanders and other European settlers came to farm the land. The iconic radio towers weren’t built until much later in 1963 but those three towers on 694 are still the tallest structures in the state...

Broadcasting wouldn't be the same in the Minneapolis/St Paul area with out these twin towers in Shoreview, MN. They rise about 1440 feet in the air and help get out the signal for Kare11, WCCO and KSTP in the metro area. Of course they are also a great way to get your sense of direction. When you see the Shoreview towers, you know you cannot be too far from home!

Would you want to learn something about how you go about buying a home in Shoreview? Learning how to buy a home can be confusing for many buyers, especially MN first time home buyers. Since the process can be a bit complicated I would like to share with you some tips of how to accomplish your goal. How To Buy A home in Shoreview Most Minnesota home buyers start their search on the internet, of course. There are many places to do this but a good place to start is to use the search engine on my website. If you’re thinking about selling your Shoreview, MN house, one of the most important things you need to do is something you can’t do: view your house from a detatched, unbiased perspective. Your real estate agent is someone who can help you make important decisions about the price of your home, and a stager is someone who can help you make good decisions about how to present it. Just as you can sell your house without a real estate agent, you can present it to buyers without the aid of a professional stager. But the numbers don’t lie: you will sell your house faster if you have professional help in doing so. Staging is not cleaning, painting and decluttering your house. That’s where you start, and those are things you can and must do. Staging takes place after the house is basically cle...
