As of today there are currently 591 Oakland County water front homes for sale.  Out of all those lake front homes only 18 are Oakland County waterfront foreclosures.  Out of the 591 homes for sale 69 are short sales.  There are only 7 homes that are under $100,000.  The average time on the market is over 7 months! There are over 101 lakefront homes for sale priced over a million dollars.  The highest price house is 6.975 million dollars for a 8500 square foot home. Yesterday I spent some time cruising around some of Oakland County Lakes and getting some pictures.  It was a little cold and breezy to be on the water, but of course that didn't stop some of the little kids getting into the water.  The sky was over cast but it was still nice to be near the water.                         We stopped by Pontiac Lake's Quake on the Lake which are hydroplane races.  It always amazes me how fast they go skimming across the water.  I have seen footage of hydroplane boats flipping and busting up in a million pieces and I sure give it to those guys.  I guess I don't have those speed and dare devil genes in me.   And then we got some pictures of Williams Lake and Maceday Lake too.  White Lake Township and Waterford have a lot of lakes to chose from if you are lo... 07/19/2009

Right now there are a lot of Michigan lake homes for sale.  When I was checking recently I noticed that there were not as many Michigan lake foreclosures as compared to the number of foreclosures through out the Metro Detroit suburbs.  I've noticed some changes to gasoline pumps over the past few weeks.Last week I filled my trucks gas tank at the White Lake Meijer gas station, located off Highland Rd in western Oakland County. The pump stopped at $75.00, and I assumed the tank was full. Today, I learned that credit companies are limiting purchases at the pump to $50.00 to $75.00 depending upon the card to decrease merchant and consumer liability for credit card fraud.At a Marathon station in Dearborn Heights, before my credit card was approved, I had to enter the credit cards zip code.
