Kellogg Lake inHighland, Michigan is one of the bigger lakes that you would waterski and tube on.  Taggett Lake is the other bigger lake which connects to Kellogg by a canal. Real Estate in Highland, Michigan has been hammered by the recession and now appears to be going into a second swoon - a double dip. Both Median sold home prices and the Inventory level are back on their way down, after a brief run-up in the 4th quarter of last year. The huge spike in new inventory can probably be attributed to the a burst of listings by sellers who have been like a little boy holding his breath and needing to take a deep breath. In this case the brief run-up in sold prices spurred and over-response by would be sellers to get in on that market - a market that turned out not to really be there. If you have recently left a job you may have ended up with a payout of your retirement money that had been growing in stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other stock market investments in your retirement account. You are about to have the federal government take some of that money away.   First, there will be an automatic 20% withholding to pay federal taxes (not to mention any possible state taxes).
