I just discovered a great Doggie Daycare place for Charlie.  The best part about it, it's only a 3-5 minute drive from my house.  It's Clever Dog.  This is Charlie's 2nd Day there.  He went for the first time on Tuesday. He comes home happy and tired when he's been to Daycare. He can be with other dogs in a pack or he can play with them.  He gets walked every few hours and the staff plays with him.  The place is clean and very spacious.  They have the dogs separated by personality and size. Another cool thing is they have a live NANNY CAM or Doggie Cam.  You can log on anytime and see how your pup is doing.  They are open from 7AM - 7PM on weekdays, 10AM - 5PM and are closed on Sundays.  You can also board your dog or have your dog groomed at Cleverdog.  I hate having to put Charlie in...

Layhill Park is a Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commission  (M-NCPPC) park accessible from Layhill Road (Route 182); just north of Park Vista Dr and south of Baughman Dr.This is one of the largest M-NCPPC parks, if not the largest parks, in the 20906 zip code.  You will find tot-lot, four baseball diamonds, several soccer fields, a park pavilion, and good number of parking spaces.  I could easily imagine several baseball games and two or three soccer games going on at the same time. There is ample room to walk Fido as well.

Homes in the Indian Spring Neigborhood were originally built as Golf Course or Country Club Homes. The area was developed around the Old Indian Spring Country Club & Golf Course in the early 1930's. When Country Club moved out to Layhill Road in mid 1950's, the grounds and buildings became the home of the Silver Spring YMCA.  Indian Spring is just inside the Beltway in Silver Spring, east of Colesville Road (Route 29). The south border is Franklin Avenue and the west, University Boulevard. The Indian Spring community was listed in the Washingtonian one of the "Best Places to Live" (2005).  "This is the kind of inner-Beltway suburb that downtown Silver Spring was revitalized for. The professionals living here may have families, but they're not so suburbanized that they don't enjoy the ar...

Lush Majestic Settings in a coveted hidden community of only 60 estate homes. Burnt Mills Hills is a quiet pastoral neighborhood of rolling hills, lush indigenous and mature landscaping with Acre+ lots.  Silver Spring's best kept secret is this sylvan setting off of Route 29 (Colesville Road).  It's hard to believe this subdivision is so close to the new Urban area of Downtown Silver Spring, the Capitol Beltway and just 4 miles from the District of Columbia - Washington DC line. The Burnt Mills Hills subdivision is close to the New Federal Research Center, Burnt Mills Shopping Center with a Trader Joes Grocery, Starbucks, California Tortilla and The White Oak Shopping Center.
